DAILY HOMILIES #Pray until something happens

When it comes to faith, there are always obstacles here and there, discouragement and stumbling blocks, but we must never give up; we must never say never until it is over - we must pray until something happens (P.U.S.H). Jesus told us: “Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8) but He never gave us any time frame. Be Patient with God.

The question is not whether or not we will face trials, but how do we respond in such moments? Faced with the storms, the disciples expected the worst; they cried out, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” Jesus was disappointed with them not because they prayed but because they prayed with fear; that is, they were not expecting their prayers to be answered.

Life is tough, and nothing good comes easily. Bad things happen without warning. Life will always give you reasons to complain. Problems are never fully resolved. But how do we stay alive and succeed? Faith! Believe and continue believing. Prayer works. God cares. Jesus warned them not to publicise this healing, but the two blind men could not keep it to themselves. Jesus wants us to love him, worship him as God, and not approach him like a magician. Faith is not just about receiving from God but also about remaining steadfast when things are difficult.
