One word that perfectly describes unmerited favour is GRACE. It is God answering the prayers we never said, connecting us with people we never dreamt of, taking us to heights we never knew, and filling us with riches we never worked for. Your life can change in just one day.

There is an extent to which our worship of God becomes reduced to the mere observation of rules. This occurs when we adhere to regulations to the detriment of our connection with God. This is what happens when religious rules become nothing more than an avenue to oppress the poor and weak in society. This was the problem of the Pharisees.

Be kind to people based on their needs, not their skin colour, state of origin, language, or tribe. The Samaritan went out of his way to help this man even though it was forbidden for a Samaritan to associate with a Jew. Jesus wants us to be kind, especially to those who hate us, those who practice a different religion, and those who may never repay our love.
