Truly, God cares. Just as He saved the people of Israel from bondage, God saves us from the bondage of our sicknesses and diseases when we call on him. The people of Israel cried to Him from Egypt and He rescued them. Do not lose heart, cry to God and He will rescue you.

There is an extent to which our worship of God becomes reduced to the mere observation of rules. This was the problem of the Pharisees.

Like Moses, there are times we become too conscious of the greatness and complexity of our problems that we completely lose sight of the greatness of God. Despite seeing that the bush was burning yet not consumed, Moses still feared Pharaoh more than God.

Like Moses, within every one of us, there is a burning passion; something you really want to do. Do not rush into it relying solely on your strengths, let your burning passion lead you to your burning bush – that is, begin by consulting God.

Jesus performed countless miracles, He even raised the dead to life many times but one miracle Jesus would not work is to force you to repent. This requires your active cooperation.

Do not be surprised when Pharaoh along with his cohorts becomes hostile to us. They hate us because we don’t belong here. If out of love for Egypt, we begin to compromise our faith, swim in sin and deny God, we would be making ourselves slaves in a foreign land whereas our true homeland is flowing with milk and honey.

We cannot preach a united Nigeria on our pulpits if we as men and women of God cannot see eye to eye. We must kill our pride lest it tears us apart. Jesus said it that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. We must stop fighting each other and begin to realize that as ministers of God, we can never be superior to one another. We are nothing but mere instruments before God.

“Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:31-32)

As much as Jesus wants us to spread the Gospel, He recommends that we act wisely always. Do not wait for them to come and kill you, should they persecute you in one town, flee to the next; for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of man comes. (Matthew 10:23)

Free your heart and move on. What you have now is far better than what you think you lost. Try to see the brighter side. Trust that God has always and will always be there for you even in your darkest moments, God is still there for you. He did it for Joseph. He will do it for you.

If the evil we do live with us, then know that the good we do also lives with us. The good things you do or the help you render to the helpless today would surely bless you tomorrow. It is never too late to make amends.

Pray that God sends more labourers into the harvest. Pray for your leaders, pray for your shepherds, pray for me! As you pray for us, perhaps, you too might begin to hear the call of God. Perhaps, God will open your eyes to see many areas where you too can contribute your quota towards solving the problem of scarcity of labourers in God’s vineyard.
